Mission

The Finance Director Southern Europe leads financial operations across Spain, Portugal and Italy, with full responsibility for financial governance, performance management and business partnering. The role requires a senior finance leader capable of managing regional complexity while driving standardization, automation and value creation in close alignment with Group Finance.

This position offers strong exposure to Group leadership and represents a potential stepping stone toward broader Group CFO responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee regional finance operations, reporting, budgeting and forecasting.

  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting under IFRS across all legal entities.

  • Manage and develop regional finance teams and coordinate external advisors.

  • Oversee statutory, tax, audit and regulatory compliance across the region.

  • Act as trusted finance partner to local CEOs and operational leadership teams.

  • Drive process optimisation, internal controls and ERP adoption aligned with Group standards.

  • Support commercial decision-making, profitability analysis, growth initiatives and M&A activity.

Job requirements

Skills Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or similar; professional certification is a plus.

  • 10–15 years of experience in senior finance roles within international or multi-entity environments.

  • Strong IFRS expertise; Big Four or audit background highly valued.

  • Proven experience managing regional finance departments and leading transformation initiatives.

  • ERP implementation or optimisation experience (NetSuite preferred).

  • Fluent Spanish and English mandatory; Portuguese and/or Italian strongly desirable.

  • Strong people leadership and organizational development capabilities.

  • Commercially minded, with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights.

  • High attention to detail combined with a pragmatic and solution-oriented approach.

  • Comfortable operating in fast-paced, entrepreneurial and evolving environments.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills at senior level.
