Mission

SAMY is strengthening its global Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) governance capabilities. We are looking for an AI Governance Manager to lead, structure, and evolve our global AI governance, risk management, and compliance framework across all SAMY entities.

This is a key leadership role responsible for establishing AI governance foundations, managing AI-related risks, ensuring regulatory compliance, and integrating AI oversight into existing Information Security and GRC structures. The role combines operational risk management (approximately 50%) with building and implementing new AI governance initiatives (approximately 50%).

The ideal candidate may come from a GRC, Information Security, Risk Management, or AI Governance background, or be a strong GRC professional ready to expand into AI governance leadership. What matters most is the ability to bring structure, ownership, and direction in a complex, international environment while enabling responsible AI adoption.

Job Functions

AI Governance & Strategy

  • Lead and own AI governance across all SAMY entities

  • Define AI policies, standards, and responsible AI principles

  • Integrate AI governance into existing GRC and security frameworks

  • Act as the main point of contact for AI governance topics

Risk Management & Compliance (50%)

  • Establish and manage AI risk management framework

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate AI-related risks

  • Ensure compliance with regulations (e.g., EU AI Act, GDPR)

  • Maintain risk register and reporting to leadership

  • Support internal and external audits

AI Governance Build & Innovation (50%)

  • Design and implement AI governance framework

  • Define AI lifecycle governance and approval processes

  • Establish AI vendor and third-party risk management

  • Build governance maturity roadmap and drive adoption

Stakeholder & Vendor Management

  • Collaborate with IT, Legal, HR, and business teams

  • Manage external AI vendors and governance partners

  • Advise leadership on AI risk and governance strategy

Continuous Improvement & Awareness

  • Conduct assessments across SAMY entities

  • Drive remediation and governance improvements

  • Promote responsible AI culture and awareness

Job requirements

Skills Requirements

  1. Proven experience in GRC, Risk Management, Information Security, or Compliance

  2. Experience with AI governance, AI risk management, or emerging technologies preferred

  3. Background as GRC Manager, Risk Manager, Information Security Manager, or similar role

  4. Experience working in a multi-country or international corporate environment

  5. Strong understanding of governance frameworks and risk management methodologies

  6. Experience building governance frameworks and processes from scratch

  7. Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (GDPR, EU AI Act, ISO standards, etc.)

  8. Experience managing vendors and third-party providers

  9. Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills

  10. Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on

  11. Strong analytical and risk assessment mindset

  12. Excellent organizational and coordination capabilities

  13. Confident communicator with technical and non-technical stakeholders

  14. Proactive, pragmatic, and solution-oriented mindset

  15. Ability to balance governance with business enablement

  16. Comfortable operating in fast-changing AI and regulatory environments

  17. Willingness to travel internationally
