Role Mission

We are looking for a Senior WordPress Developer to design, develop, maintain, and optimize WordPress websites and digital experiences. The role will be responsible for translating design and business requirements into scalable, high-quality web solutions, while ensuring performance, responsiveness, stability, and a consistent user experience.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new pages, sections, and functionalities in WordPress according to project requirements.

• Provide support and maintenance for existing WordPress websites, troubleshooting errors, implementing adjustments, and supporting ongoing improvements.

• Design pages and user interfaces in Figma, ensuring visual consistency, usability, and responsive behavior.

• Implement approved designs in WordPress using themes, page builders, Gutenberg, or custom development, depending on project requirements.

• Manage, configure, and maintain WordPress plugins, including both custom-developed plugins and third-party solutions that are downloaded, purchased, or licensed.

• Identify and resolve conflicts between plugins, themes, WordPress versions, and other website dependencies.

• Perform WordPress, theme, and plugin updates, ensuring that updates do not introduce regressions or impact existing functionality.

• Manage development, staging, and production environments, executing controlled deployments and releases.

• Support website performance optimization, cross-browser compatibility, and responsive functionality.

• Collaborate with Design, QA, Product, and Project Management teams to estimate, validate, and deliver requested functionalities.

• Participate in troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement of WordPress solutions.

• Follow development best practices to ensure maintainable, secure, scalable, and high-quality code.

Skills & experience

• 5+ years of experience in WordPress development, with strong hands-on experience building, maintaining, and optimizing WordPress websites.

• Strong knowledge of PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, MySQL, and WordPress architecture, including custom themes, plugins, Gutenberg, and page builders.

• Experience with custom plugin development, third-party integrations, troubleshooting conflicts, and maintaining WordPress dependencies.

• Experience with Git, development/staging/production environments, deployments, performance optimization, responsive design, and cross-browser compatibility.

• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently and interact effectively with Design, QA, Product, and Project Management teams. Conversational English is preferred.
